Workshop objectives were to strengthen participants’ negotiation, diplomatic and third party skills; strengthen problem solving in individual and group situations; and share experiences and lessons learned in the prevention, management and resolution of conflicts.
There were 23 participants in this workshop, 15 national and 8 international members of the mission. The internationals came from Hungary, Turkey, Sweden, France, Bulgaria, Italy and Germany. Participants came from mission headquarters in Pristina, field offices in Lipjan, Mitrovica, Prizren, Peja, and the Kosovo Police Service School in Vushtri. Participants found this core skills workshop practical and useful training, with presentations grounded in theory, many examples from reality, and numerous exercises with extensive debriefings.
