Graduate Certificate Course in Post-Agreement Transitions
A joint initiative of the Training and Education programs, this Graduate Certificate Course utilized a framework for post-conflict stabilization being developed by the Institute, which directly addresses five critical end-states: public safety, rule of law, stable democracy, a robust and growing economy, and social well-being.
International Conflict Management Seminar for Senior Latin American and Caribbean Military Officials
In conjunction with the Organization of the American States (OAS), the Institute conducted a one-week workshop for over eighty senior Latin American and Caribbean military officials along with special invited guests from the resident military missions for the Inter American Defense College (IADC) at Fort McNair, Washington DC.

DIILS in Newport, Rhode Island brings military officers from countries across the world attend a multi-month course in peacekeeping support operations.
Workshops on Conflict Management and Resolution for the Armed Forces of the Philippines
Institute trainers Ted Feifer, Alison Milofsky and Alan Tidwell joined with Philippine Facilitation Program Director Gene Martin to present three 3-day workshops on conflict management and resolution to 93 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in Cotabato, Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga on the island of Mindanao during April-May 2006.

Negotiation Strategies Workshop for Iraqi Women
Senior Program Officer Nina Sughrue of the USIP Professional Training Program offered a half day seminar in negotiation strategies for visiting Iraqi women civil society leaders. The program was part of the State Department´s International Visitors Program.
Negotiation and Diplomatic Skills Training, OSCE Mission in Kosovo
With the prospect of a final status agreement for Kosovo rapidly approaching, Ted Feifer and Jonathan Morgenstein of the Professional Training program conducted the seventh negotiations and diplomatic skills training workshop for the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, in Pristina, on February 8-10, 2006.
