The Colombia Crisis: Models of Religious Peacemaking
A public event organized with the U.S. Office on Colombia, Catholic Relief Services, Lutheran World Relief, Church World Services, and the United Church of Christ
At a time when Colombia remains in a state of armed conflict, USIP brings together leading Colombian religious figures and award winning peacemakers from one of the most violent regions of the country.
These leaders work hand-in-hand with local populations who suffer directly from conflict in Colombia including women, children, and other marginalized peoples. The panel will explore the relationship between security and economic and social development and will also address Colombia’s humanitarian crisis.
