USIP is pleased to host an in-depth discussion with leading Middle East analyst and USIP Senior Fellow Robin Wright on the publication of her new book, "Rock the Casbah: Rage and Rebellion across the Islamic World." For two years, Wright tracked the tectonic political shifts that culminated in the uprisings across the Middle East. She also identified the new cultural forces--from rappers to comedians, playwrights to poets--that are reclaiming Islam and redefining "jihad." But she also warns of the dangers ahead, for both the new movements and U.S. policy.
