USIP Experts Brief NATO Defense College Senior Course

USIP hosted 67 senior military officers from 27 countries on November 6, 2012, as part of a visit to Washington by the NATO Defense College (NDC) Senior Course. Based on the value of the NDC visit to the Institute in May 2012, the course elected to return to USIP as part of their Transatlantic Field Study program.

On May 2, USIP hosted NATO Defense College (NDC) Senior Course 120, which consisted of 74 senior military officers from 31 countries worldwide, as part of the group's Transatlantic Field Study trip to Washington, DC. NDC Dean Dr. Richard Hooker and Brigadier General Patrick Desjardins of France, dean of Academic Operations, led the delegation; Daria Daniels Skodnik coordinated the trip for NDC.

Briefing on the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit

On March 12, the U.S. Institute of Peace’s (USIP) Center for Conflict Management and the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs co-convened a closed briefing on the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit for senior diplomats of countries whose head of state will be participating in the summit. Ambassadors, Deputy Chiefs of Mission, and Heads of Political Section from over 30 embassies participated in the briefing.
