The United States Institute of Peace announced today that Stephanie Fouch has joined the Institute as vice president for communications and outreach.

(Washington) -The United States Institute of Peace (USIP) announced today that Stephanie Fouch has joined the Institute as vice president for Communications and Outreach.  As a senior communications executive, Ms. Fouch has led major strategic outreach programs for many public sector and private organizations.  She will be leading USIP's teams on public affairs, publications, and communications to expand and deepen national and international audiences interested in peacebuilding and international conflict management.

"We are extremely pleased that Stephanie is joining the USIP family at this particular time," said Tara Sonenshine, USIP executive vice president.  "Her knowledge of international affairs and communications will add an important dimension to our work, as we prepare to move to our new headquarters."

For the past two years, Ms. Fouch has been head of strategic communication at the British Embassy in Washington, where she developed programs on global issues such as security, economic recovery and climate change.
