Stephanie Saunders Fouch
Vice President, Outreach and Communications
Stephanie Saunders Fouch is vice president for Outreach and Communications at the United States Institute of Peace. Prior to joining the Institute, Fouch was head of strategic communication at the British Embassy in Washington, where she directed efforts to communicate the UK’s policies in the United States. She developed campaigns focusing on conflict zones including Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Middle East; the global economy; environmental issues; and the UK’s role in a global society. In addition, she worked with senior policy officers to create new opportunities for engagement throughout the U.S.
Fouch began her communications career supervising marketing campaigns for global brands like Procter & Gamble and Mercedes-Benz. After moving to Washington, she became a partner in several regional communications companies and launched a successful branding practice for the private, government and non-profit sectors. She has led campaigns for National Public Radio, USAID, the U.S. Mint, the National Parks Conservation Association and the International Spy Museum; and she has consulted with the U.S. Army on their new national museum.
Fouch is a graduate of Vassar College, with a concentration in political science and history.
