Who Will Govern Iraq Next?
This panel will tackle several issues related to the recent elections in Iraq, among them:
- The elections process and perceptions among Iraqis about its fairness & legitimacy;
- The potential for creating a government of national unity;
- The upcoming constitutional review process;
- The implications for the US government's role in Iraq and the future need for Coalition military forces;
- The potential alliances among Iraqi political parties;
- The future role of emerging civil society organizations and other groups (USIP, NDI, IRI, etc.).
- Presentations will be followed by questions from the floor.
