(Washington) – The United States Institute of Peace is supporting peacebuilding programs at 58 U.S. colleges, universities, and public libraries through the second round of the Public Education for Peacebuilding Support initiative. Through this initiative, administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE), USIP enables these institutions to hold events that advance and promote the public’s understanding of peacebuilding and international conflict resolution.

Since January 2013, USIP has provided up to $2,000 to approximately 140 organizations, totaling nearly $300,000 in support of events that advance and promote the understanding of peacebuilding and international conflict resolution.
