The U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP) is excited to announce a new content partnership with the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Strategic Intelligence platform. The partnership combines USIP’s extensive peacebuilding expertise with WEF’s innovative visualization tools to help inform leaders and policymakers around the globe. USIP has joined the Strategic Intelligence Content Partner network to contribute toward insights on a whole host of issues relating to preventing, mitigating, or resolving violent conflict.

“USIP is committed to finding peaceful solutions that match the scale and complexities of modern conflict, and WEF’s Strategic Intelligence platform is an innovative tool that provides clearer understanding of major issues,” said Joe Lataille, USIP’s acting president and chief financial officer. “We’re excited to lend our expertise to this project and look forward to further collaboration with WEF.”

The World Economic Forum’s Strategic Intelligence platform features research and analysis from leading global think tanks, universities, civil society organizations, and research institutions through its network of content partners.

Conflicts do not exist in a vacuum. They are shaped by many interconnected factors, and their effects are manifold and often felt far from their origin. These include the impacts of forced displacement on social cohesion and human security, disruption to sustainable economic growth, and climate change.

“Understanding these shifting interdependencies is critical to addressing global challenges in a world typified by accelerating complexity and struggling to deal with a global pandemic. That is why the World Economic Forum’s Strategic Intelligence platform is so pleased to welcome the U.S. Institute of Peace as one of its content partners. Users of the platform will now have access to the Institute’s content across its 260+ topic maps, where relevant,” said Jim Landale, head of content and partnerships, Strategic Intelligence at the World Economic Forum.

As the world becomes more interdependent, matters of peace and conflict have grown more complex, transcending borders and permeating societies. Through this partnership, USIP and WEF hope to foster a more collaborative, integrated approach for creating a better world.
