U.S.-Russia Relations: At the Crossroads
Russia's relations with the West have been seriously strained by:
- the Kosovo crisis
- NATO enlargement
- Iraq policy
- IMF Funding
Experts discussed whether the relationship can be repaired, or if tougher times are ahead. Questions included:
- How are these crises playing in Russian domestic politics?
- What is Russia trying to accomplish in the Balkans?
- Is it in the interest of the United States to allow Russia to be a peace broker? What does this accomplish in other areas of U.S-Russia relations?
