Online Courses
A reflection of the Institute's long-standing commitment to innovation, Education and Training Online is a distance-learning program that applies the latest advances in media and technology to bring relevant courses to the widest possible community of academics and practitioners. Through this initiative, we award certificates for specified courses, which are offered at no cost to the general public.
Onsite Courses
The USIP Academy is a professional education and training center offering practitioner courses on conflict prevention, management, and resolution. Drawing on USIP’s twenty years of leadership in the field, these courses emphasize strategic thinking and practical skills. They include a mix of theory and practice, with a heavy dose of applied exercises, including case studies, simulations, and practical and small group exercises.
Program Specialists
USIP works domestically and internationally to:

- Help international practitioners improve the skills required to manage conflict in all its phases, from prevention to post-conflict peacebuilding
- Promote peace by working through educational systems in fragile states and societies emerging from conflict.
