In Memoriam: W. Scott Thompson
The U.S. Institute of Peace is saddened to learn of the death of W. Scott Thompson, an international politics scholar and former U.S. foreign affairs official who was appointed by President Ronald Reagan as one of the original members of the institute’s Board of Directors. Prof. Thompson “exemplified a bipartisan spirit” in his work, USIP President Nancy Lindborg said in a letter of condolence to his family.
