Dr. Terry V. Jones is a senior human resources and operational management leader that has always possessed a strong desire to serve his country and work within organizations focused on improving the lives of the underserved within the United States and internationally. Dr. Jones has served in several executive and senior managerial positions within the military, federal civil service and the non-profit sector.
In his most recent role at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Dr. Jones provided technical expertise and guidance as the senior human capital expert for the agency’s most prominent program office. Dr. Jones led the development and implementation of the Office of Research and Development’s first-ever diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility strategic plan. This plan focuses on cultivating and supporting an inclusive culture within the organization through accountability, education and programmatic/policy execution. Dr. Jones has held several human resources and operational management positions within the federal civil service, such as chief of staff, Office of the Deputy Under Secretary, Civil Personnel Policy; human resources manager/ senior recruiter, Defense Intelligence Agency; chief, National Recruitment and Outreach, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; and chief administrative officer and acting deputy assistant to the Administrator of Management, U.S. Agency of International Development (Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs). Also, Dr. Jones served as the director of operations & administration for a Colorado-based non-profit foundation focused on international business development.
Dr. Jones holds a doctorate of management from the University of Phoenix, a master's in human resources management from Columbia Southern University; a bachelor’s of science in business administration from Bowie State University; and two Community College of the Air Force Associates of applied science degrees. Dr. Jones is a recent graduate of the Office of Personnel Management’s Federal Executive Institute.
Dr. Jones’ hobbies include running, working out, reading, international travel and deep-sea fishing.
