Anthony Elghossain is the program officer for Syria. Based in Beirut, he previously worked with foundations and non-governmental organizations to promote the rule of law in the Middle East and Africa. From 2011 to 2016, Anthony was an energy, infrastructure, and project finance lawyer and pro bono advocate at a global law firm in Washington, D.C., and London.
Before that, he was an associate director at a think tank focusing on US-Lebanon dialogue, a government affairs intern at a law firm, and a journalist. Anthony still writes about the states and societies of the Middle East and remains passionate about pro bono work.
He holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and his bachelor's degree from the American University of Beirut.
