On March 8, USIP hosted a conversation on the LoC cease-fire that explored findings from this new USIP report, the factors that have help keep the cease-fire in place, and what new regional dynamics could mean for its sustainability in the future.
On November 30, USIP hosted a public conversation with Dr. Avinash Paliwal on how India seeks to manage its crisis-stricken neighborhood. The discussion focused on India's relations with Bangladesh and Pakistan, exploring the impact of domestic crises and the geopolitical competition with China on Indian foreign policy.
On October 18, USIP hosted a conversation with playwright Akbar Ahmed, director Manjula Kumar and several of the play’s performers. The discussion looked at the role of arts and theater as a peacebuilding tool, spotlighted the genesis of the storyline and examined the role of historical frameworks in understanding contemporary issues on human rights, democracy and identity in South Asia.
On September 8, USIP hosted a Twitter Space discussion on the causes and impact of these catastrophic floods on Pakistan’s already fragile political and economic situation. The conversation also looked at what role the international community can play in helping Pakistan recover from this humanitarian crisis and better prepare for future disasters.

USIP hosted a conversation with Pakistani Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin on the country’s economic future, efforts to pivot to a geoeconomic relationship with the United States, and the impact of Afghanistan’s crisis on regional stability.
