USIP's Academy for International Conflict Management and Peacebuilding is currently accepting applications for its Fall 2015 courses.  Note: You do not need to apply to take an online course. Follow the directions on each online course page to participate.

Application Process

Applicants must register and apply for courses by using the Academy registration system. You must include your resume or CV and a short statement explaining your interest in the course. Course instructors will then review the applications and CV/resume. Once the instructor accepts or denies your application, you will receive notification by email. If your application is accepted, you will receive further instructions by email, including payment information.

Admission Criteria

Course participants should have relevant experience in their field, except for online courses, which are open to everyone. To enhance the learning experience, we seek participants from a wide variety of backgrounds, such as government agencies, international organizations, the nonprofit sector, the military, international development agencies, and educational institutions. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of a course.

All on-campus courses are held at USIP's headquarters: 2301 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20037. Note that there is no public parking at our office for course participants.

The tuition for on-campus courses is $550 for five-day courses, $440 for four-day courses, $330 for three-day courses and $220 for two-day courses. Tuition is due ten business days prior to the beginning of the course to reserve your place. Participants are responsible for their own lodging and travel arrangements, including visas.

  • U.S. government and U.S. military personnel may use the SF-182 form to complete payment.
