ARCHIVED SPECIALIST PROFILE
Victoria McColm is a program specialist with the Media and Conflict program. She manages programs aimed at analyzing the potential roles of media as mitigator and instigator throughout the conflict cycles and conducts research on the intersections between communications and conflict. McColm joined the Institute in 2006 and initially spent one year with the Rule of Law program as Sudan program assistant, supporting Institute field projects in northern and southern Sudan. Previously, she worked as producer on an independent documentary film project investigating human trafficking in Southeast Asia. She has held positions at the International Bar Association in London, FORUM Asia in Bangkok and the Development and Education Program for Daughters and Communities in Mae Sai, Thailand.
McColm holds an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics in Philosophy, Policy, and Social Value and a B.A. from Florida State University in political science and international relations.
