(Washington) - The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media (GDIGM), the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP), and ITVS will co-host an event at USIP on September 23rd on the role media plays in shaping positive and negative gender norms and expectations, with a particular focus on conflict-affected and fragile states around the world.

The event includes keynote remarks by Geena Davis, chair of the GDIGM, and Patricia de Stacy Harrison, president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. A complete agenda is available online.

Credentialing Policy
Media credentials are available to reporters, editors working as reporters, producers, camera operators and still photographers who work for legitimate media organizations and who present their official government-issued press credentials. Exceptions must be approved by the director of communications, or his/her designee. Media representatives who violate guidelines for coverage of an USIP event, whether written or oral, may have their credentials withdrawn.
