Trilateral Dialogue in Northeast Asia

TDNA

Officially launched in May 2008, the Trilateral Dialogue in Northeast Asia (TDNA) is a Track 1.5 project that USIP initiated with South Korean and Japanese government think tank partners in late 2007. It brings together officials from the United States (State Department, Defense Department, NSC, Congress), South Korea (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ministry of National Defense, National Assembly), and Japan (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Diet). John S. Park co-directs TDNA with counterparts at South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade's Institute for Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) and Japan's Institute for International Policy Studies (IIPS). TDNA participants analyze how the three allies can cooperate at three levels — the Korean peninsula, Northeast Asian region, and the international community.
