As the results of the October 3rd 2010 elections emerge and the new government takes shape, USIP remains committed to working with Bosnia and international actors to foster an environment that encourages economic growth, progress toward eventual European Union membership and a concerted effort at constitutional reform. |

Both national and regional peacebuilding efforts are required to complete Kosovo’s transition into statehood and membership in the European Union. USIP has worked in the Balkans since 1996, and is committed to peacebuilding in the region in cooperation with its newest state. |
