Japanese Parliamentarians Discuss Security Issues

On May 2, Institute president Richard H. Solomon and Stanley Roth, director of the Research and Studies Program, hosted a group of six Japanese parliamentarians for a wide-ranging 90-minute discussion of security issues in East Asia, including North Korea, China-Taiwan, and the South China Sea. The Japanese delegation included Tokuichiro Tamazawa and Tsutomu Kawara (left), both former ministers of defense in Japan.
