USIP Turns 25: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's Keynote Address

On October 19, 1984, President Ronald Reagan signed into law the United States Institute of Peace Act (USIP) establishing an Institute that on October 19, 2009, marks its 25th anniversary and evaluates its progress in fulfilling its congressional mandate. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered a speech on nuclear nonproliferation to the United States Institute of Peace in light of its anniversary.
