This workshop aimed to inform members of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) diaspora and other stakeholders of ongoing development assistance programs in the DRC, provide a forum for a frank exchange of ideas and identify avenues for more effective diaspora involvement in peacebuilding. The second panel was moderated by Raymond Gilpin, Associate Vice-President for Sustainable Economies, U.S. Institute of Peace and featured presentations from Kaya Adams, Regional Advisor for East Africa in the U.S. Agency for International Development's Africa Bureau; Eustacius Betubiza, Country Program Coordinator for the DRC, World Bank; and Amadou Labara, Head of the DRC Country Office, International Finance Corporation.
