Advisory Committee on U.S.-Muslim World Relations: Research and Media Products

Members of USIP's U.S.-Muslim World Advisory Committee contribute to enhancing mutual understanding through policy research, survey of American Muslim voters, and media outreach.

• Dr. Amaney Jamal of Princeton University publishes new findings on support for Islam and democracy in in Egypt and Jordan in World Affairs: A Quarterly Review of International Problems.
• The Council on American-Islamic Relations releases the results of a new survey of 1000 registered American Muslim voters related to social integration and political leanings: American Muslim Voters: A Demographic Profile and Survey of Attitudes.
• In a New York Times interview, Imam Sayyid Hassan Qazwini of the Islamic Center of America, discusses how to protect the diversion of funds raised by American Muslim charities without obstructing their beneficial social works. ("Fears of Inquiry Dampen Giving by U.S. Muslims," October 30, 2006)
