- International Court of Justice
(ICJ)
Also known as the World Court, this site (in English and French)
contains general information on the history and composition of the
court, press releases, decisions and pending cases, and basic documents
covering jurisdiction.
- International Criminal
Court (ICC)
The web site has a general overview of the court, sections for documents, cases, victims' issues, witness protection, as well as procedural information, material for the media and a video archive.
The court was established at the United Nations Diplomatic Conference of Plenipotentiaries on the Establishment of an International Criminal
Court, 15 June-17 July 1998, in Rome.
- International Criminal Tribunal
for Rwanda (ICTR)
UN web site contains press releases and news, decisions, transcripts
of hearings, rules of evidence and procedure, security council resolutions,
and other links. The web site also includes the texts of indictment, trial
chamber decisions, judgment, sentence and appeal chamber decisions
rendered by the International Criminal Tribunal of Rwanda (ICTR)
against Jean-Paul
Akayesu on charges of genocide, September 2, 1998. An overview of ICTR achievements provides a history.

UN site contains latest documents and news, press statements, tribunal

Genocide Studies/Projects
- Australian Institute for Holocaust
and Genocide Studies
Formerly the Centre for Comparative Genocide Studies at Macquarie
University, the institute is now affiliated with Shalom College
at the University of New South Wales. The web site lists courses,
publications and links on genocide. Includes a section on Comparative
Genocide Bibliographies and the Armenian
genocide.
- Armenian National
Institute
"Dedicated to the study, research and affirmation of the Armenian
Genocide," this site posts research materials (including photos,
documents, bibliographies) and educational resources (resource
guide, sample curricula, etc.) on the Armenian genocide.
- The Cambodian Genocide Program
At Yale University, this comprehensive site includes databases of
books, articles, primary documents, biographic information, maps,
and photographs, as well as publications and related links. It's
part of a larger web site of the Genocide
Studies Program at Yale that includes the Rwandan
Genocide Project, case studies, comparative research and other
issues.
- Genocide:
Resources for Teaching and Research
A web site developed and maintained by the Genocide Research Project,
a joint venture of programs at the University of Memphis and Pennsylvania
State University. Includes a news and events section for conferences
and other announcements, three online bibliographies, numerous links
and a feedback section for site visitors to add to resources.
- Holocaust
and Genocide Studies
Extensive site produced by Dr. Linda Woolf, associate professor
at Webster University in St. Louis. Includes recent news stories
on genocide, recommended readings, a chronology of the Holocaust,
course information and numerous links.

The web site contains definitions

and Human Rights Studies (MIGS) Home Page
The web site contains full-text occasional papers, book citations,
Holocaust survivor memoirs, a search engine, and links to other
resources, such as contemporary documents on genocide.
- United States Holocaust Memorial
Museum
The web site of the Washington, D.C. research center and museum,
this site includes information on exhibits, workshops, fellowships,
Holocaust-era assets, library resources, a multimedia archive of public programs and events and a link to the Committee on Conscience web page, among others..
- Web Genocide
Documentation Centre: Internet Resources on Genocide and Mass Killings
A web site produced by Dr. Stuart Stein, professor at the University
of the West of England, it contains numerous primary documents grouped
in main categories: World War II resources, War Crimes and Criminals,
the Jewish Holocaust, etc. The site also includes book reviews,
biographies, and extensive annotated links.

in Rwanda.
- Convention
on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide
From the United Nations Human Rights web site, the full text of
the UN Convention, approved and proposed for signature and ratification
or accession by General Assembly resolution 260 A (III) of December
9, 1948; entry into force January 12, 1951, in accordance with article
XIII.

of Lords' judgment on Augusto Pinochet's immunity, November 25,
1998
Ruling by the UK House of Lords that the former Chilean dictator
Augusto Pinochet did not have immunity from prosecution, November
25, 1998. This ruling, however, was set aside and a new ruling issued
March 24, 1999.

Ruling by the UK House of Lords upholding the previous ruling of
November 25, 1998 that the former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet

Genocide: How the Early Use of Force Might Have Succeeded in Rwanda
An April 1998 report to the Carnegie Commission On Preventing Deadly Conflict, includes sections on the history of international involvement in Rwanda, a proposed mandate and intervention force, an alternative
operational plan, and identifying military force requirements, by Scott Fell.

of the International Criminal Court
