Beyond Emergency Responses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Center for Sustainable Economies (CSE) co-sponsored and participated in a Conference entitled “Beyond Emergency Responses in the DRC” in Bujumbura, Burundi, in June 2009.  The conference explored regional solutions to the regional conflict in the Eastern Provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and was attended by academics and politicians from throughout the Great Lakes Region.  Alan Doss, special representative to the secretary general to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, presented the keynote address.
