Al-Tayib Zain on Inter-faith Peacemaking in Sudan

Under the leadership of Professor Al-Tayib Zain, the Sudan Inter Religious Council (SIRC) has an impressive record of interfaith collaboration to promote peace. SIRC co-sponsored with USIP a path-breaking conference for Christian and Muslim leaders in July to prepare an action plan for Sudanese religious leaders to help implement the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. Earlier SIRC activities include successful petitioning to permit the building of new churches in Khartoum and an interfaith conference on Darfur.

Prof. Zain spoke about inter-faith peacemaking in Sudan.
