On Wednesday, April 20, a roundtable discussion explored the characteristics of Islamic militancy inside and outside Java, Indonesia, and analyzed the differences in attitudes between coastal and rural areas. The discussion also presented views of particular ulama who are anti-Western and analyzed how their views are conveyed to their students.
